Jada Pinkett Smith embarks on a captivating journey with her forthcoming memoir, titled “Worthy.”

Making the announcement on Instagram, Jada revealed that the tell-all book is set to release on October 17th. Reflecting on the “falsehoods” that have circulated about her over the past four years, the former Red Table Talk host intends to reclaim her narrative through this memoir.

“On October 17th, I invite you into a journey that, understandably, many think they already know. The fact that I have, in the last four years contributed to the creation and perpetuation of falsehoods about myself, in which other untrue narratives were birthed, has surely aided in the misunderstandings that surround me. This fall, with deep humility and respect, I will take back my narrative,” shared the 51-year-old actress alongside a selfie, holding a copy of her upcoming memoir.

The book will delve into Jada’s childhood, tracing her path from a “challenging” upbringing in Baltimore, Maryland, to her eventful life in Hollywood. It will also explore her marriage to Will Smith, her experiences as a mother to Jaden, 24, and Willow, 22, and her role as a stepmother to Will’s son, Trey, 30.

“My memoir starts at the beginning, offering an unvarnished and revealing account from my challenging upbringing in Baltimore into a controversial life in Hollywood. It’s a harrowing ride of reclaiming my self-worth while unraveling unspoken truths,” she continued. “My adventures of my youth, meaningful friendships, marriage, motherhood, self-betrayal and self-reclamation are mere reflections of the adventures so many of us have taken in search of happiness.”

Jada aspires to inspire readers by sharing her own experiences of navigating through “tumultuous” situations and rediscovering herself. She hopes that through this exploration, readers will be reminded that regardless of the path they find themselves on, they are inherently deserving and worthy.

“My hope is that through the exploration of my own tumultuous situations to the rediscovery of deep love, that we are all reminded that no matter where we may be on our journey, we are all…Worthy,” Jada added. “Reserve your copy now, link in bio. #ourworthyjourney.”

Jada also provided fans with a closer look at the captivating cover. The image showcases a side profile of Jada, donning a striking red lip and a dangling earring gracefully hanging from the top of her ear. What adds an intriguing touch is that the photo is ingeniously constructed using thousands of smaller photos, coming together to form the image of the accomplished Girls Trip star.

In conjunction with the release, Jada will embark on a tour, commencing on October 16th in New York City and concluding on November 18th in Los Angeles. The tour will encompass a total of 11 stops, with Jada extending her reach overseas to readers in London and Dubai, bringing her inspiring memoir, Worthy, to a global audience.

The memoir arrives after a tumultuous period for the actress, including incidents such as husband Will’s interaction with Chris Rock at the 2022 Academy Awards, Jada’s widely discussed “entanglement” with August Alsina, and the temporary suspension of Red Table Talk, among other controversies.

Regarding the timing of sharing her story, Jada explains to People, “Many people believe they know my journey because of my talk show, Red Table Talk. However, there’s so much about my personal journey that I haven’t had the opportunity to share in a format like RTT.”
