It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Nikolas “Niko” McKnight, the beloved son of R&B singer Brian McKnight and his ex-wife Julie McKnight. Niko passed away at the age of 32 after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
Niko was a gifted singer, guitarist, and photographer whose creativity left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. His family remembers him as “ridiculously talented” and full of light.
Despite facing a very public and strained relationship with his father, Niko remained a pillar of strength and authenticity. Throughout his cancer journey, he shared moments of vulnerability and gratitude, especially for the unwavering support from his wife and close loved ones.
Niko’s legacy is one of resilience, artistry, and quiet bravery. He will be remembered not for headlines or conflict, but for his heart, his passion, and the lives he touched along the way.
