Tyler Perry Announces 2nd Film In Four-pic Amazon Studios Deal.

Tyler Perry unveils plans for the second of two upcoming films as part of his exclusive four-picture film agreement with Amazon Studios.

Written, directed, and produced by Perry, the film, Divorce in the Black tells the story of Ava, a young bank professional who is heartbroken when her husband, Dallas, unexpectedly leaves her, who is determined to save their crumbling marriage. However, fate takes a twist as Ava uncovers Dallas’ deceitful actions that not only shattered their relationship but also hindered her from finding true love with her destined soulmate.

Divorce in the Black stars Megan Good (Harlem), Cory Hardrict (All American: Homecoming), Joseph Lee Anderson (Young Rock), Taylor Polidore (Snowfall), Shannon Wallace (City on a Hill), Richard Lawson (For Colored Girls), and Debbie Morgan (Power Book II: Ghost).

Perry announced (June 28) that he would take on the roles of writer, director, and producer in the gripping film, Black, White, & Blue, as the first film in his four-pic deal with Amazon Studios.

The film centers around Fela Blackburn. Fela’s life is torn apart when her husband, Rodney Blackburn, is tragically killed by a police officer.

Fueled by a determination to uncover the truth and seek justice, she relies on the support of her best friend, Marley Wells, a lawyer, and her husband, Tony Wells, a former police officer turned private investigator, to use their connections and expertise to unravel the mysteries surrounding the incident.

But, as the truth gradually emerges, Fela discovers that her entire world is built on a foundation of lies and betrayal.

Black, White, & Blue stars Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries), Tyler Lepley (Harlem), Meagan Tandy (Batwoman), Josh Adeyeye (Ruthless), RonReaco Lee (First Wives Club), Jimi Stanton (Your Honor), Shannon LaNier (God’s Not Dead 3), and Nick Barrotta (The Oval).

The entertainment mogul took to his Instagram page to share the following message: “Television has had my full focus for the past 10 years. Now I’m getting back to my first love!! I got some good ones coming your way! You just wait!!”
